andromeda is a sculptural light object inspired by two-dimensional embroidery from arts and crafts training classes of years gone by. Rather than colored thread, however, stretched from one point to the next is a crystal-studded yarn. The technique of spooling is thus expanded to the third dimension. The result is a shimmering andromeda haze that develops multiple radiant powers through the light source at the center.

The basic frame is made of round stainless steel sections put together to compose triangles. The crystalline object is spanned with Swarovski’s Crystal Yarn in a strict system. The object received third prize in the Swarovski Crystallized competition 2009.
