hangover
A contemporary witness to days of yore: newspaper stands. Whereas newspapers and magazines lay piled up, creased and torn in the classical home accessories of the 1950s, hangover brings a bit of order into the private archive of journals. Reading material is hung on a steel hanger, as though on a clothesline: clearly visible and able to be taken down at any time. hangover is a fond reminiscence of good old paper, which despite digital media, is far from redundant.
The newspaper stands are made from a single piece. The steel sheet is first punched and then bent. The simple manufacturing process enables inexpensive production.
